FC Dallas midfielder Brandon Servania scores 1st US goal at U-20 World Cup

US Under-20 - Celebrate Brandon Servania goal vs. Ukraine

Brandon Servania is the answer to the trivia question of who scored the first US men's national team goal at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The FC Dallas midfielder leveled matters 1-1 for the US in the 32nd minute in their Group D opener against Ukraine Friday at Bielsko-Biała Stadium.

Just six minutes after falling behind, Servania, who has spent much of this season with North Texas SC, FC Dallasā€™ USL League One affiliate, put the finishing touches on a terrific buildup.

The US sliced through the Ukraine defense with quick touches. The ball was worked out to Tim Weah into space on the left side of the 18-yard box and the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder cut the ball back to the edge of the yard-box where the 20-year-old tapped home.

Equally impressive was Servaniaā€™s orchestrated sparring session with Chris Gloster.
