Who will be the next FC Cincinnati coach and when will they get hired?
That answer comes after the club brings in their new general manager.
The Athletic reports the club has been in the interviewing process for several months. Jeff Berding, who has been the club’s president and general manager since the founding of the club in the summer of 2015, will remain with the club as the president and will remain in charge of the business side of the club.
Adding to @KristianRDyer’s reporting: #FCCincy are working to hire a GM, who will come on before they name permanent head coach. Sources tell me club prez Jeff Berding will shed GM title, take a step back from soccer ops. Bruce Arena not likely for role. https://t.co/iDbHMTg9wO— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) May 13, 2019
The new GM will report to Berding and be installed above technical director Luke Sassano, according to Kristian Dyer, who reported that at halftime of the MSG Network broadcast of the New York Red Bulls-Montreal Impact game on May 8.
