Alejandro Pozuelo scores brace, adds assist in Toronto FC debut

It's official: Alejandro Pozuelo is jumping right into the MLS fray for Toronto FC.

The newest big signing by TFC has arrived and he immediately featured in the starting XI for the Reds as they hosted NYCFC in Week 5, romping to a 4-0 victory at BMO Field.

Pozuelo, who signed earlier this month from Belgian club Genk, was expected to take over the playmaking mantle for TFC. He got started right away, putting on a show for the premiere broadcast of "MLS Friday Night on TSN."

In the 29th minute, Pozuelo hit paydirt, as his build-up play shined in setting up Jozy Altidore's goal, tallying his first MLS assist in the process.

It only got better from there, as he scored his first goal in MLS just before the hour mark from the penalty spot. It was not just any penalty, it was a panenka. And it was not just any panenka...see for yourself.

Believe it or not, it got even better from there, as he scored from the run of play with an audacious looping chip that will long be played on highlight reels.

If this is a taste of what's to come, Pozuelo will be must-see viewing every week.
