US Under-23s fall 2-0 in friendly to Egypt in first game under Jason Kreis

In their first game under new coach Jason Kreis, the US Under-23 men's national team fell to Egypt 2-0 in a match played in Pinatar, Spain.


Egypt scored their first goal in the 40th minute after Philadelphia Union midfielder Derrick Jones failed in his clearance attempt off a set piece. Their clincher came in the 80th minute. Kreis utilized different XIs in each half, as most players were given a half of playing time.


Kreis will lead his team out on Sunday against the Netherlands in another friendly that is set to kickoff at 12 pm ET.
