Lionel Messi asks Pity Martinez about playing in Major League Soccer

Is it personal curiosity or is Lionel Messi doing his homework on a potential move to Major League Soccer?

The Barcelona legend inquired about the league in a conversation with Pity Martinez, the Atlanta United midfielder revealed in an interview on Argentine television.

Martinez is currently with Messi as part of the Argentina team that will meet Venezuela and Morocco in upcoming international friendlies.

“He asked me about the US league, how it was, and with several Argentine teammates as well,” Martinez said.

Martinez will also be in the starting XI with Messi when La Albiceleste meet Venezuela in Madrid Friday. It is possible his Atlanta teammate Josef Martinez will be in the Vinotinto starting lineup.
