Zack Steffen again the penalty kick hero for Columbus Crew SC in Foxborough

Zack Steffen laid another brick in the foundation of his reputation as a stone cold penalty stopper in Week 2, diving to deny Diego Fagundez on a 59th-minute spot kick attempt that could have equalized the match at 1-1.

During regular season and postseason matches, penalty takers are now only 9 for 14 against Steffen.

He has also starred in two penalty-kick shootouts during the MLS Cup Playoffs, saving two penalties in each of them to help Columbus move past Atlanta United in 2017 Knockout Round and oust D.C. United at the same phase last year.

Steffen also provided a gorgeous assist in the match against the Revs, the second of his MLS career, as Columbus Crew SC beat the New England Revolution 2-0. The last goalkeeper assist in MLS came from Bill Hamid last September.
