Atlanta United star Pity Martinez has been called into the Argentinian national team, with friendlies against Josef Martinez's Venezuela and Morocco upcoming later this month.

With Copa America looming this summer, head coach Lionel Scaloni has named a strong squad. Global stars Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala, Angel Di Maria and Nicolas Otamendi have also been selected.

Pity has been capped twice for his country, scoring once. The 25-year-old joined Atlanta this winter, though hasn't quite found his top form yet after four appearances for his new club between Concacaf Champions League and MLS play.
