Christian Ramirez starts up top for LAFC; Adama Diomande on the bench

Christian Ramirez has been given the start at striker in Bob Bradley's first LAFC starting XI of the 2019 season against Sporting Kansas City (8:30 pm ET | ESPN, ESPN Deportes in USA; MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada), with Adama Diomande on the substitute's bench. 

Last season, Ramirez had two goals in seven appearances (three starts, 261 minutes) for LAFC after being acquired from Minnesota United. Diomande had 12 goals and four assists in 18 appearances (14 starts). Last season was Diomande's first in MLS while Ramirez accrued 21 goals in 50 appearances in two seasons for MNUFC before joining LAFC.


Diomande started the club's playoff loss to Real Salt Lake but was subbed out for Ramirez at halftime, who scored in his 45 minutes on the pitch.


Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi join Ramirez in attack against SKC, with Lee Nguyen, Mark-Anthony Kaye and Eduard Atuesta in the midfield.
