MLS Disciplinary Committee announces carryover discipline from 2018 season

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has announced carryover discipline for one player and one coach from the 2018 MLS season.


Pena violent conduct

The Disciplinary Committee issued Houston Dynamo forward Ronaldo Pena an additional game suspension (two games total) and an additional fine of an undisclosed amount for his violent conduct during the 90+ minute of Houston's match against the LA Galaxy on Oct. 28, 2018. Pena, who originally received a red card for the incident, will serve his suspension in Houston's matches against Real Salt Lake on March 2 and the Montreal Impact on March 9.


Pascarella agressive behavior

The Disciplinary Committee has issued Minnesota United goalkeeper coach John Pascarella an additional three-game suspension (four games total) and a fine of an undisclosed amount for aggressive behavior toward an opponent and for entering the field of play during a mass confrontational incident. The actions in question took place during Minnesota's game against Colorado on Oct. 13, 2018. Pascarella served the first two games of his suspension to conclude the 2018 regular season. His remaining two-game suspension will be served during the first two matches of the 2019 season.
