After becoming the third Major League Soccer team to reach the Concacaf Champions League final, Toronto FC begin their quest to become the league’s first winner when they head to Panama to take on Independiente de la Chorrera in the opening leg of the 2019 CCL Round of 16 Tuesday night at Estadio Agustin Sanchez.

A new-look TFC take the field Tuesday from the one that suffered that agonizing loss on penalty kicks to Chivas de Guadalajara in last year’s final. Gone are Sebastian Giovinco, who was named the best player of last year’s CCL, and Victor Vazquez, while Jozy Altidore is still on the mend. But Toronto are confident of another deep run in this year’s CCL.
