Shkelzen Gashi scored a brace as part of three Colorado Rapids goals in three minutes, a flurry that stood up in a 3-0 victory in a closed-door affair against the Las Vegas Lights on Saturday.
Gashi's pair equals the injury-embattled forward's total in each of his past two MLS regular season campaigns. They were his first strikes of the preseason.
Homegrown Player signing Matt Hundley added the middle goal of the bunch for the Rapids, who would play the lights again with a different squad later Saturday in a match open to the public.
Following the twin bill, the Rapids close their preseason in Southern California against the LA Galaxy next Saturday.
