New England Revolution open preseason camp in Spanish seclusion

Revs training in Marbella, Spain

While many Major League Soccer clubs are taking to warm weather locales within the United States — Florida, California, Arizona — the New England Revolution have chosen the road less traveled for their preseason plans.

The team traveled to Marbella, a resort city on southern Spain’s Costa de Sol, where they open camp for two weeks. The club’s base is the Marbella Football Center, a sprawling complex that features several full-length natural grass fields, a fully-equipped gym and meeting rooms.

They will play four matches while at the Marbella Football Center, taking on Shanghai Shenhua FC, FC Viktoria Plzeň, FC Krasnodar and FC Dynamo Kyiv.
