Toronto FC have signed midfielder Noble Okello to a Homegrown Player deal, the club announced Tuesday. Okello is the club's 19th Homegrown signing to a first-team contract.

Okello, 18, spent last season with TFC II in USL. He made 22 appearances and is a member of the Canadian youth set-up, most recently featuring for the U-20 Canadian national team at the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship.

“Noble is an exciting and promising player whom we look forward to working with at the first team level," TFC general manager Ali Curtis said in a statement. "While he has worked extremely hard to earn this opportunity, it is also a testament to the commitment that Toronto FC has to developing players from the community, and the quality education that our academy coaches deliver to young players."
