Official: LAFC re-sign defenders Danilo Silva, Dejan Jakovic

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Re-signed

LAFC have re-signed defenders Danilo Silva and Dejan Jakovic, the club announced Wednesday. The news comes a day after the club confirmed that Walker Zimmerman re-signed on a four-year deal. 

Jakovic, 33, made 15 appearances in the club's expansion season. Silva, 32, was acquired on loan in August and appeared in 10 of the club's last 13 regular season games. 

“Re-signing Danilo and Dejan was always part of our offseason plan, and we’re excited that both players will be returning in 2019,” LAFC general manager and EVP of Soccer Operations John Thorrington said in a media release. “Danilo and Dejan add veteran leadership and experience to the group, and we’re confident they will both contribute to the success of our Club.”

This offseason, the club also acquired center back Eddie Segura.
