The Seattle Sounders have signed top goalkeeper prospect Trey Muse to a Homegrown contract, the club announced Tuesday.

Muse, 19, spent the last two years at Indiana University where was named a First Team All-American and the 2018 Big 10 Goalkeeper of the Year. The 6'4" keeper becomes the Sounders’ 11th Homegrown player.

"We've had many great goalkeepers play for Sounders FC throughout the years and Trey has an opportunity to follow in those footsteps," head coach Brian Schmetzer said in a media release. "If he works hard, takes the lessons from [Sounders goalkeeper coach] Tom Dutra and learns by example from playing alongside Stefan Frei and Bryan Meredith, he'll put himself in a good position to be successful."
