For more than a year, fans of the US men’s national team have had to bid their time, waiting on the installation of a new, permanent head coach to give the program direction and inspiration.
Now that Gregg Berhalter’s first training camp in charge is well underway in Chula Vista, California, there’s a new vibe around the USMNT, and a new video in U.S. Soccer’s “Behind the Crest” series captures that with inside views of the former Columbus Crew SC coach’s implementation of his style and philosophy.
“Gregg and his staff have been very detail-oriented,” said LAFC goalkeeper Tyler Miller. “Before we start each session, they lay out a set of principles that they want to achieve in that session. We're able to rely on these principles so that way when the game gets hectic, we have something to fall back on.”
