Report: Minnesota United complete signing of Ligue 1 fullback

Update, Jan. 17: According to Orange, Minnesota United have completed the signing of Romain Metanire. 

After signing defensive midfielders Jan Gregus and Ozzie Alonso this offseason to bolster the defensive unit, Minnesota United might not be done with their reinforcements. 

According to The Athletic's Jeff Rueter, the club are "working on a transfer" for Ligue 1 right back Romain Metanire. 

Metanire, 28, currently plays for Stade Reims, who sit seventh in Ligue 1. He has made 61 appearances for the club since joining in 2016. He used to play for FC Metz in Ligue 2, where he made 136 appearances.
