The Montreal Impact found success in 2018 in adding one French-born Algerian international midfielder, so could they be looking to find another one?

That's the word out of Spain, as Seville's El Desmarque reported on Friday that the Impact were interested in picking up Real Betis midfielder Ryad Boudebouz, and had already made a bid of ā‚¬10 million.

Boudebouz, 28, has endured a rocky stint so far in La Liga, joining Betis in 2017. Prior to that, he had spent his entire career to date in France, playing for Sochaux, Bastia, and Montpellier. While the attacking midfielder played for midtable teams in Ligue 1, he was regarded as a talented and productive player.

And if Boudebouz joined the Impact, he would join Saphir Taider, his Algerian national team teammate, who performed well in his debut campaign in MLS, scoring seven goals and eight assists in a two-way midfield role.
