When presented with the accolade, Cannon was overcome by emotion. "You are completely what embodies the spirit of FC Dallas," the supporters told him.
During our last regular season home game, we presented @ReggieCannon15 with our DBG Player of the Year award. This was an emotional time for both sides and we are so proud of the work Reggie does for FCD. Cannon, 20, started 33 of the team's MLS games as he broke onto the scene, earning his first call-up and cap with the US national team. It was a truly stellar season for the fullback.
I couldn’t help but cry when I received this award. Your guys’ unrelenting support has gotten me through so much and it really does mean the world to me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I know you guys have always got my back when push comes to shove. Love y’all.— Reggie Cannon (@ReggieCannon15) November 14, 2018
What a moment to share with the supporters.
