On Sunday, Chris Wondolowski has one last chance to make history in front of his home crowd this year, when the San Jose Earthquakes take on the Colorado Rapids (5pm ET | TV & streaming info). 


#WondoWatch is in full effect, given that with 144 career goals, Wondolowski is just one away from tying Landon Donovan's all-time MLS record.

Throughout his career, Wondolowski has enjoyed prolific success against the Rapids. He's scored 11 goals against them, tied for second-most against any opponent in his career, trailing only his 12 against the LA Galaxy.

This season, Wondolowski didn't start when the Quakes traveled to Colorado, a game the Rapids won 2-1. He came off the bench and played 23 minutes.

Recent form


Wondolowski has played fewer minutes than any season since 2009 and has started only two of the team's four games under interim head coach Steve Ralston. But, he's entered as a substitute during each of t the two matches he didn't start. 


Wondolowski has two goals in their last two matches. Prior to that, he hadn't scored in four games.
