TRANSFER TRACKER: Rumor
Miguel Almiron was reportedly a transfer target for Arsenal FC before he joined Atlanta United in December of 2016, and according to the Paraguayan's father, the London giants are apparently still interested.
Multiple clubs have been rumored as suitors for the 24-year-old ATL playmaker's signature and new reports claim Arsenal are leading the race. His father, Ruben Almiron, gave an interview to Paraguayan radio station 730 AM asserting that Arsenal's interest in his son is genuine, though no formal contact has been made between the Gunners and Five Stripes.

Almiron is enjoying another highly successful season in MLS, helping lead Atlanta to the top of the Supporters' Shield race with three games left in the season. The Paraguayan has 12 goals and 14 assists in 31 games in 2018.
Earlier on Friday, a quote attributed to club president Darren Eales saying that a deal was agreed for Almiron to be sold to Arsenal has been reported to be false by journalists Doug Roberson and Jonathan Tannenwald.
