TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
FC Dallas have added experience to their midfield for the home stretch of the 2018 MLS season, announcing on Monday the signing of Colombian midfielder Abel Aguilar.
The 33-year-old has had a well-traveled career. Starting at Deportivo Cali, Aguilar has played in Italy (Udinese, Ascoli), Spain (Xerez, Hercules, Real Zaragosa, Deportivo La Coruña), France (Toulouse), and Portugal (Belenenses). He returned home to Deportivo Cali in 2016, and played there until signing with Dallas.
The midfielder, primarily known for playing in a holding role, is also a Colombian international, with 70 caps for his country. He played in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
