TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan

LAFC have loaned rookie defender Tristan Blackmon to USL side Phoenix Rising FC, the club announced on Wednesday.

The No. 3 overall pick in January’s MLS SuperDraft, Blackmon has made nine league appearances for the expansion side, including five starts, the most recent of which came last week, a 90-minute outing in LAFC’s 2-0 home loss to Sporting KC. He also played the full 90 in one U.S. Open Cup match, a Fourth-Round victory over Fresno FC.

LAFC retain the right to recall the 22-year-old fullback at any point during the remainder of the MLS season, subject to roster compliance guidelines. Blackmon will join Phoenix training this week and is expected to be eligible for selection in their visit to Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday. Rising FC currently sit in fourth place in the USL Western Conference with a 12-6-5 record to date.
