Moises Hernandez has signed with FC Dallas for a second time, the club announced on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old defender is a former FC Dallas Academy standout who made his first team debut in the club’s 2014 season opener, playing 90 minutes in a 3-2 win over the Montreal Impact. He made 31 appearances over the course of two seasons before being loaned to Rayo OKC of the North American Soccer League in 2016. Hernandez then signed with Guatemalan powerhouse Comunicaciones in 2017 and appeared in 47 matches in two seasons.

The Dallas-born Guatemalan was one of the first four Homegrown players initially signed by the club on July 30, 2010. He went on season-long loans to Comunicaciones and Deportivo Saprissa in Costa Rica

"I’m really happy and blessed to be here," Hernandez told FCDallas.com. "I’m really thankful with Oscar [Pareja] and the coaching staff that had the confidence to bring me back. I thought it was a good time for me to come back now, and I’m really excited and ready to help the team in any way I can.”
