According to Peruvian publication Libero, midfielder Paolo Hurtado — who took the field as part of Peru's historic 2018 World Cup campaign — could be coming to MLS to join fellow countryman Raul Ruidiaz with the Seattle Sounders.
The 27-year-old, currently playing his club soccer at Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal's top division, would be a TAM acquisition according to the report, through a rumored transfer fee of $5 million might prove an obstacle to the move.
Hurtado, able to play both winger and striker, featured as a sub in Peru's sole World Cup win, 2-0 over Australia on June 26. Last season, for Vitoria Guimaraes, he scored 15 goals in 33 appearances.
