TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor
The Seattle Sounders made a big splash with the addition of Peruvian international forward Raul Ruidiaz this transfer window to address their scoring issues. But could another player be in their sights too?
A report out of Sweden claims AIK forward Nicolas Stefanelli is a target of the Sounders. The 23-year-old transferred to the Swedish club in July 2017, but the outlet claiming the Sounders' interest, Fotboll Direkt, reports that Stefanelli has been frozen out of late and will be allowed to leave this summer.
Stefanelli is a native of Argentina, and began his career with Defensa y Justicia in 2014. At AIK, the striker's scoring rate has been decent, with 11 goals in 25 appearances to date.
