Diego Rossi wins Week 1 AT&T MLS Goal of the Week with LAFC's first goal

It was an historic goal, the first in the history of the Los Angeles Football Club, and it earned the expansion side their first-ever MLS victory on Sunday, a 1-0 road upset of the Seattle Sounders

Now Diego Rossi's game-winner has won the inaugural edition of the 2018 AT&T Goal of the Week race, cruising to victory with 43 percent of the vote, well ahead of fellow contenders Kei Kamara (20%), Danny Hoesen (16%), Stefano Pinho (13%) and Federico Higuain (8%).

The 20-year-old Uruguayan's finish was not only a landmark occasion on paper, but also a clinically-taken strike, a first-time curler beyond the reach of goalkeeper Stefan Frei after a well-weighted pass from Carlos Vela
