On Thursday, Banc of California Stadium went from being a construction site to a soccer venue.
Ok, the stadium, home to 2018 MLS expansion team LAFC, is still under construction, as crews work to get everything ready for the first game, on April 29 when LAFC host the Seattle Sounders in MLS regular season action.
But on Thursday, grass was laid at the stadium, covering the ground at the 22,000-capacity venue and making it look like a real soccer-specific stadium.
The work was pretty quick, with an LAFC spokesperson telling MLSsoccer.com that the job was to be completed on Friday.
The team spokesperson said the team expects to begin training on the field in mid-April. The lines will be painted on the field and goals installed a few days before the April 29 game.
You can check out the progress at the Banc of California Stadium cams on LAFC's website.
