Toronto FC won the highest-profile friendly of the early stages of the MLS preseason on Wednesday night, beating Liga MX’s Club Tijuana 3-2 in a back-and-forth contest in San Diego.
Normally, a preseason match between TFC and Xolos wouldn’t merit its own write-up. Wednesday’s game, however, was a bit different, with plenty of interesting moments going down at Torero Stadium.
