Toronto FC dazzle in wild, wacky preseason win vs. Tijuana

Toronto FC won the highest-profile friendly of the early stages of the MLS preseason on Wednesday night, beating Liga MX’s Club Tijuana 3-2 in a back-and-forth contest in San Diego.

Normally, a preseason match between TFC and Xolos wouldn’t merit its own write-up. Wednesday’s game, however, was a bit different, with plenty of interesting moments going down at Torero Stadium.

We had a Sebastian Giovinco free kick golazo…

Victor Vazquez setting up the Atomic Ant for a second…

And center back Nick Hagglund stepping into net and making a big, late save to preserve the win:

Watch your backs, Alex Bono and Clint Irwin.

TFC will play their next preseason match on Friday against LAFC
