Osorio told reporters ahead of Mexico’s friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina in San Antonio on Wednesday night (9 pm ET; Univision Deportes Network) that his three MLS players are in excellent shape, with Giovani looking particularly strong.
“The three players who are in the MLS look very good,” Osorio said. “They are players who are not competing, because MLS has not started yet. Jonathan, Carlos and Giovani look great, Giovani especially. As I said last week, I was in Los Angeles and he’s in a very good athletic condition, maybe the best of his career.”
Dos Santos struggled with the Galaxy last season, following up his Best XI campaign from 2016 by recording just six goals and three assists in 25 regular season appearances in 2017. All three MLS players on Mexico’s roster will return to their respective MLS teams to continue preseason following Wednesday’s friendly.
