The New England Revolution signed 17-year-old midfielder Isaac Angking to a Homegrown contract on Tuesday, the club announced.

Angking has been in the Revolution academy for more than four seasons, totaling 28 goals and 18 assists in 81 appearances while rising from the U-14s to the U-19 program. The Providence, Rhode Island native scored 12 times in 11 games with the U-19s during the start of the 2017-18 Development Academy season.

“We’ve closely monitored Isaac’s development during his four seasons in our Academy and look forward to seeing him continue to grow in the Revolution system,” Revolution GM Michael Burns said in a statement released by the club. “Isaac has distinguished himself with exceptional play and we believe he has the ability to become an impactful player for us at the professional level.”

Angking has represented the US at several youth levels. He spent three semesters with the US U-17s at their residency program in Bradenton, Florida, and was named to the NSCAA Youth Boys All-American Team in 2016.
