FC Dallas and Toronto FC are among the sides interested in acquiring Argentine defender German Conti from Colon de Santa Fe in Argentina's top flight, according to a report from an Argentine newsaper.
El Litoral, a paper based in Colon's home city of Santa Fe, indicates both clubs have joined Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro in pursuit of Conti, a 23-year-old central defender.
Dallas would appear to have a more pressing immediate need at Conti's position after trading Walker Zimmerman to LAFC, though Toronto have proven the value of adding quality depth in winning the domestic treble this past season.
Conti has spent his entire pro career with Colon, making his debut in the 2013-14 campaign and emerging as a regular in 2015 after Colon won promotion back to Argentina's top flight following one season in the second division.
Colon currently sit seventh in Argentina's 28-team top division.
