Report: MLS GMs think 'Chicharito' Hernandez will be coming to league soon

Chicharito - Mexico - close up

He's been rumored to be on MLS teams' radar in the recent past. But speculation is mounting once again that Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez could be coming stateside.

Paul Tenorio reported for FourFourTwo USA on Monday that "Conversations with multiple MLS general managers and league sources over the last few weeks revealed that the prevailing belief is not just that an MLS team should make a play for Chicharito in the summer window, but that a team will move to sign the Bayer Leverkusen forward."

While Tenorio's report does not definitively narrow down a team that may be angling for the Mexican international, he does note 2018 expansion side LAFC have been mooted as a possible destination, along with a few other ambitious contenders.

Regardless, based on the report, it sounds like the chance of the biggest star in CONCACAF coming to MLS could become a reality, and in the near future.
