Didier Drogba makes trip to watch Montreal Impact, tweets from RFK Stadium

Didier Drogba - Montreal Impact - March 19, 2016

Didier Drogba may not have been on the Montreal Impact's 18-man roster for their 2016 playoff opener, but that didn't prevent him from making the trip to RFK Stadium.

It was no surprise that his name didn't show up on the team sheet for Thursday night's East Knockout Round match vs. D.C. United, because Impact head coach Mauro Biello confirmed as much a few days before the match.

But Drogba apparently made the trip anyway if his Twitter feed is any indication:

Drogba has not suited up for the Impact since the club revealed that he refused to be on the team for the penultimate matchday of the season on Oct. 16 after he was told he wasn't starting. The team has also disclosed that he's dealing with a back injury.

After Thursday's match, a team locker room photo tweeted by defender Hassoun Camara looks to feature Drogba:
