The New England Revolution waived defender Samba on Monday, after he appeared in just two league matches with one start this season.
The 23-year-old defender joined New England in January, on loan from Sporting Clube de Portugal as part of the strategic partnership between the two clubs.
The Portugal native and Guinea-Bissau international saw 91 minutes of MLS action, recording one shot on goal, and also put in two full-90 outings in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play for the Revs
