Vancouver Whitecaps make Copa America picks - and US doesn't fare well

David Ousted - Vancouver Whitecaps - eyes on the ball

The long-awaited Copa America Centenario is almost here and itā€™s time for everyone to get their predictions in before the tournament kicks off on Friday.

Sixteen players of the Vancouver Whitecaps have tried their hands at predicting each group, starting with Group A, which has the USA facing Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay.

So who do most of the Whitecaps think is going to top Group A? Colombia, the heavy favorites in a stacked grouping of teams. The US did get some love from a couple Whitecaps players (yes, those Whitecaps players happen to be American) and Costa Rica was the pick of Jordan Smith, who has two caps with Los Ticos.

The runner-up of Group A to advance out of the group is a bit more of a mixed bag and several Whitecaps donā€™t see the USA advancing to Copa Americaā€™s knockout stage at all.

See all of the teamā€™s predictions here, with previews for each group coming later this week.
