Could Orlando City SC's Cristian Higuita be the latest MLS player to be tapped for a stint in Europe?
According to a report out of Milan, Higuita has caught the eye of Serie A powerhouse AC Milan.
The most noteworthy part of the report might well be Higuita's valuation by AC Milan: 4 million Euro, or roughly $4.5 million.
Orlando City and AC Milan have crossed paths with their acquisitions before, but normally it's been in the opposite direction: Both striker Kaká and midfielder Antonio Nocerino have played for Milan and now call Orlando home.
Higuita, 22, may not be known as a goalscorer – he has just one for Orlando since 2015 – but he has developed into the engine of the midfield, becoming a league leader in passing and tackles.
On the international level, the former Deportivo Cali player was brought in for the Colombia U-23 camp to face the US in the playoffs for the Olympics, but he did not feature.
