Diego Fagundez's golazo is the first goal of 2016 for New England Revolution

His team's opening-day match at Houston didn't kick off quite early enough for it to be the first goal of the entire MLS season, but New England Revolution attacker Diego Fagundez got 2016 off to a blazing-fast start just the same.

The Revs' Uruguayan-born Homegrown gave his team an early lead on the Dynamo with a true golazo on Sunday, as he chested down a half-clearance from Jalil Anibaba and smashed a dipping half-volley that swerved away from Houston goalkeeper Joe Willis and nestled just inside the far post.
