Chicago Fire's Sean Johnson praises new LAFC owner, "funny dude" Will Ferrell to TMZ | SIDELINE

Sean Johnson was recently called into the US national team camp in Southern California, and TMZ ran into the Chicago Fire goalkeeper at LAX, asking him the question on everyone's mind: What does he think about Will Ferrell becoming an MLS owner?

You may recall Ferrell making a memorable first impression at LAFC's crest and colors unveiling on Jan. 7, before he was revealed to be the newest member of the expansion club's ownership group.

Johnson supported the involvement of the Hollywood star, citing another famous comedian already part of the MLS ownership ranks.

"I think so," Johnson said when asked if he thought Ferrell would be a good owner. "I think you see Drew Carey with the Sounders and those guys are pretty passionate about the game and I fully believe they'll do right by that team. It's exciting."

Johnson called Ferrell "a funny dude," and added "It'll be interesting to see all the fun stuff they'll come up with for LAFC."
