PORTLAND, Ore. – From a miraculous two-post penalty kick miss in the Knockout Round of the MLS Cup Playoffs to a record-setting goal just seconds into the MLS Cup final, the Portland Timbers' 2015 championship season was certainly not short on memories.

And the team has memorialized it all a 35-minute documentary entitled "The Magic Was Real" – released in front of a handful of fans at a screening Wednesday night at the Artists Repertory Theatre – that chronicles the Timbers' six-game playoff run to their first MLS Cup title.

In addition to the often-dramatic in-game highlights, the film also features never-before-seen locker-room footage of head coach Caleb Porter’s postgame speeches and the players' raucous champagne celebrations.

After the film, Porter fielded a handful of questions from those in attendance.

“Life is about memories and moments,” Porter told the crowd, drawing on his words from the title celebration on a rainy Dec. 8 night at Providence Park. “And I do believe we’re going to win another Cup in the future, but there’ll never be another first. And so as far as memories and moments, it doesn’t get any better than that.”
