Shay Facey’s time with New York City FC appears to be up.
According to a tweet sent on Thursday morning by Glenn Crooks, the Manchester City defender, who spent last season on loan to NYCFC, will not return to the club on another loan in 2016.
Facey, who signed a new deal to extend his stay with with Manchester City last month, made 23 regular season appearances for New York City in 2015. NYCFC added another young center back on Thursday, acquiring 24-year-old Ethan White in a trade with the Philadelphia Union.
