MLS announces flex schedule for Week 33 national TV games

Major League Soccer, in conjunction with ESPN, FS1 and UniMás, announced on Monday the national broadcast schedule for the penultimate weekend of the season. 


As part of the new broadcast deal with ESPN, FS1 and UniMás announced before this season, the final two weekends of the regular season allow the networks to select and air the most meaningful matches as teams jockey for position for the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs. 



Four games will be broadcast nationally this weekend, with two each on Friday and Sunday night. UniMás will broadcast both Friday matches, with Orlando City SC and New York City FC’s match kicking things off at 7 pm ET before the San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting Kansas City nightcap at 11 pm ET. 


The Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy will both be in action on Sunday, with ESPN broadcasting the Sounders’ match at the Houston Dynamo (5 pm ET) and FS1 airing the Galaxy’s home date with the Portland Timbers (7 pm ET). 

  • Friday, October 16 – Orlando City SC vs. New York City FC – UniMás – 7 pm ET
  • Friday, October 16 – San Jose Earthquakes vs. Sporting Kansas City – UniMás – 11 pm ET
  • Sunday, October 18 – Houston Dynamo vs. Seattle Sounders FC – ESPN / ESPN Deportes– 5 pm ET 
  • Sunday, October 18 – LA Galaxy vs. Portland Timbers – FS1 / Fox Deportes – 7 pm ET


The final day of the season, dubbed #DecisionDay, will feature games across each conference played simultaneously on Oct. 25 with a key match in each conference broadcast nationally by FS1 and ESPN, respectively. The schedule for #DecisionDay will be announced on Monday, Oct. 19.
