MLS INSIDER, presented by adidas: “My Favorite Goal”
Clint Dempsey may have said it best: “Anytime you score important goals, you feel on top of the world.”
That’s certainly the theme of the latest episode of MLS Insider, which takes you inside the minds of the league’s best players as they describe their favorite goals and how they felt in those very moments.
For Dempsey, one of his favorite goals came in a Cascadia derby against the Portland Timbers, surprise, surprise. There’s current LA Galaxy forward Alan Gordon describing one of the many late goals he scored against LA while with the San Jose Earthquakes.
Toronto FC Designated Player Jozy Altidore walks us through his very first goal as a professional, as a 16-year-old with the New York Red Bulls on Sept. 16, 2006.
Of course, there’s plenty of volleys, chips and long-distance blasts for your viewing pleasure. And the league’s stars seem to enjoy describing them about as much as we like watching them.
