New York Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips battle rapping Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolaise

More often than not, when two professinal footballers have a "beef" with one another, they elect to settle it between the white lines and let their play do the talking.

That is, of course, if they're not battle rappers. In that case, they can instead rap about their superior skills on the field.

Enter New York Red Bulls forward and leading MLS goalscorer Bradley Wright-Phillips, who obviously fancies himself as a fine MC.

The above video (starting at the 50-second mark) features the London native sitting on the basement stairs, spitting bars as cool and calm as when he slams home a perfectly weighted cross to complete a hat trick.

Yannick Bolaise, at whom the rap diss is aimed, is a 25-year-old French striker who currently plays for Crystal Palace. A winger, Bolaise has scored four goals in 77 appearances for the club, and 22 first-team goals across his entire career.

Bradley Wright-Phillips' goals scored this year alone: 24.

Go ahead and drop the mic now, BWP.
