Last weekend's Real Salt Lake vs. Vancouver Whitecaps matchup marked the birth of a new MLS rivalry, according to 'Caps boss Carl Robinson.
But it came at a price.
Robinson and the Vancouver Whitecaps were both fined by the MLS Disciplinary Committee after violating the league's mass confrontation policy for the second time this season.
The incident took place in the 73rd minute after a disputed penalty kick converted by Vancouver's Darren Mattocks and Real Salt Lake were also involved, earning them their first official warning of 2014.
