Brazil Bracket Challenge: Which team faces the hottest schedule at the World Cup?

The US national team has the fifth-hottest schedule during the group stage of the World Cup. This according to data presented on Sunday by Bloomberg on the weather conditions teams will be playing in in Brazil.


Bloomberg has aggregated measurements of temperatures, dew points, and the angle of sun to come up with a “discomfort score.”


According to their data, Germany have the hottest schedule of all the World Cup teams with a discomfort score of 94. The other two teams USA will face in the group stage, Portugal (3) and Ghana (8), also rank in the top 10.


Italy (2) and Costa Rica (4) are the other two teams in the top five of the rankings while Mexico are sixth. Brazil should be more than comfortable in their surroundings, ranking 26th on the list with a discomfort score of 28.


The team who has the coldest schedule in Brazil? That would be South Korea, who have a discomfort score of only 13.6.
