Anyone can interview a professional athlete or coach. But it takes a special kind of broadcast journalist to do so while locked up in a heated crossbar challenge.
A former MLS and US Olympic team player and current color commentator for Real Salt Lake, NBCSN and Fox Sports, Brian Dunseth brings that crossbar challenge-interview goodness to the Sunday night news on ABC 4 Utah.
With Dunseth, leading the way, it won't be long before every local news broadcast in an MLS market has a nightly crossbar challenge feature. Our time has come.

This weekend his subject and challenger was Jeff Cassar, recently named Real Salt Lake head coach and former teammate of Dunseth with the Miami Fusion and Dallas Burn.
In the interview, Cassar talks in-depth about the whirlwind of finding out Jason Kreis was leaving for New York City FC, that he would become the new head coach of RSL and preparing for his first preseason in charge. He also does work and takes Dunseth all the way to the last kick of his own interview game.
