Dominic Oduro becomes first Columbus Crew player to be voted MLS Player of the Week in 2013

Dominic Oduro's recent run of good form carried over into this past weekend, and it helped keep the Columbus Crew's playoff hopes alive while also giving the club its first MLS Player of the Week award of the 2013 season.

Oduro took home the Player of the Week honors in Week 31 for his one-goal, one-assist performance in the Crew's 4-2 dismissal of FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium on Sunday night. Oduro helped the set the tone for the victory, assisting on Jairo Arrieta's 17th-minute strike before scoring a goal of his own just before halftime. (See how the North American Soccer Reporters voted here.)

The Ghanian forward is enjoying a strong season for a Crew team that is just one point shy of a playoff spot in the tight Eastern Conference, matching a career-high in goals scored with 12 to go along with three assists.
