AMSTERDAM – Babajide Ogunbiyi and promoted Viborg continued their impressive start to the Danish Superliga season on Friday, tentatively climbing into second place with a 2-0 defeat of visiting FC Vestsjælland.
With the American marshaling the back, the Greens extended their shutout streak to 280 minutes, the longest in the league thus far this season. Ogunbiyi nearly opened the scoring in the 12th minute, only to have his corner kick header cleared off the line.
In all, the burly center back rang up a dozen interceptions and five clearances. Ogunbiyi made a helpful saving tackle with the game still scoreless five minutes from time, allowing them to post their fourth win in six via two late goals.
