Kalif Alhassan becomes latest Portland Timbers player to win MLS Goal of the Week award

You can now add Kalif Alhassan to the list of Portland Timbers players that have claimed the AT&T Goal of the Week award this season.

Alhassan became the sixth member of the Timbers to take home the honors after earning just over 38 percent of Week 28's votes for his splendid winner in Portland's 4-0 home victory over Toronto FC. Alhassan found the back of the net in that match just before halftime, chesting a poorly cleared ball before volleying it into the top corner.

He joins Will Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Darlington Nagbe, Diego Valeri and Rodney Wallace as Timbers players who have won the award in 2013.

Final Votes - Week 28 (online poll and text vote):

1. Kalif Alhassan (POR): 38.01%
2. Jair Benitez (DAL): 34.98%
3. Shea Salinas (SJ): 11.35%
4. Eric Alexander (NY): 8.66%
5. Mauro Diaz (DAL): 6.99%
